Summer of Stone Festival

Cambo Gardens Launches "If These Walls Could Talk" - A Summer of Stone Festival

30 June – 6 September 2026

This summer, Cambo Gardens invites visitors to discover the remarkable stories hidden within stone as it launches "If These Walls Could Talk", a unique Summer of Stone Festival running from 30 June to 6 September 2026.

The festival marks the beginning of an exciting programme of repairs and conservation work being carried out at Cambo's historic Walled Garden, having just received funding support secured from The National Lottery Heritage Fund, Historic Environment Scotland, Fife Environment Trust, the Pilgrim Trust, and other committed funders.

Through a series of hands-on workshops, expert talks, guided walks and family activities, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the beauty, versatility and enduring importance of natural stone in shaping our landscapes, buildings and communities.

From the marks left by stonemasons of the past to the practical skills needed to conserve historic structures today, the festival celebrates Scotland's rich stone heritage while looking ahead to its role in sustainable conservation for future generations.
