Navigating Future Risk

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has today announced that its flagship Shaping the Future of Insurance Conference will return for its sixth year in 2026 under the theme Navigating Future Risk, bringing together professionals from across the insurance sector for a day of insight, connection and shared learning.

Taking place on Thursday 1 October 2026 in the City of London, the conference will provide a high-energy, thought-provoking forum for brokers, underwriters, claims professionals, compliance leaders, emerging talent and wider insurance professionals to engage with peers, decision-makers and practitioners from across the profession.

More than 600 insurance professionals are expected to attend, following a sold-out event last year.

This year’s theme will explore how the insurance sector is responding to an increasingly complex and interconnected risk landscape, from artificial intelligence and climate volatility to geopolitical instability and regulatory change.

Through keynote sessions, panel discussions and interactive discussions, the programme will challenge conventional thinking, and explore what it means to navigate change with confidence in a rapidly evolving world.

Adam Harper, Director, Strategy, Advocacy and Professional Standards the CII, said:

“The insurance profession has a vital role to play in helping individuals, businesses and communities navigate an increasingly complex risk environment. This year’s Shaping the Future of Insurance Conference will provide members and non-members the opportunity to examine emerging challenges, consider new perspectives, and leave with practical ideas they can put into action.”
