Highest Roof Walk in the UK 'Summit' Launched at Alexandra Palace
London's Newest Roof-Top Adventure

A thrilling new way to experience the capital is coming. 'Summit,' London's newest roof-top adventure and the highest roof walk in the UK, (130 metres above sea level) opened at the iconic Alexandra Palace on Saturday 14 February 2026.
This fully guided, one-of-a-kind experience invites visitors to scale the roof of Ally Pally and take in uninterrupted panoramic views, stretching 25 miles across the city.
For more than 150 years, Alexandra Palace has been one of London's most beloved landmarks. Now, with 'Summit,' visitors can reach entirely new heights, discovering its history and breath-taking skyline vistas from a completely fresh perspective. From the top of Ally Pally, you really can see it all.
Created by Wire & Sky, the experts behind the Dare Skywalk at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Cutty Sark rig climb, Liverpool's Anfield Abseil, and previously, Up at The O2, 'Summit' is set to soar above North London. The hour-long journey leads climbers to the famous Angel of Plenty statue, standing 130 metres above the City of London, before opening out to a 360-degree view of the capital.
With specialist guides leading the way, guests step out onto the rooftop and follow a purpose-built route taking in world-famous landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, The Shard, Canary Wharf, and multiple major stadiums. There's plenty of time to pause, enjoy the view and capture unforgettable photos before returning safely to ground level.
"We're thrilled to bring Wire & Sky rooftop adventures to Alexandra Palace – an iconic London landmark with history, entertainment and incredible views," says Andy Broad, Managing Director of Wire & Sky.
"With Summit Ally Pally, we're offering a completely new way to experience the building and the city's skyline.
"This will be one of London's most exciting attractions, combining heritage with adventure. We've worked closely with the Alexandra Palace team to ensure it fits seamlessly – and we can't wait to welcome our first climbers."
'Summit' offers three standard climb types, giving visitors the chance to choose the atmosphere that suits them best. 'Daytime Climbs' will offer stunning wide-open views across the capital, 'Sunset Climbs' are perfectly timed for golden hour skies; and 'London Lights Climbs' for a dazzling panorama as the city glows after dark.
There will also be options for 'group climbs', great for team building, corporate days out or charity fundraisers, 'private climbs' for that exclusive tour or special occasion and 'educational climbs', where school and youth groups can Summit, with bespoke tours around their requirements.
Whether it's an energising daytime ascent, a picture-perfect sunset, or a magical nighttime moment, 'Summit' promises one of the most memorable ways to enjoy London.
"For more than 150 years, Ally Pally has been the People's Palace, a place where everyone can come to experience something truly special, and we're thrilled to add Summit to that legacy" says Lucy Fenner, Commercial Director, Alexandra Palace.
"This new rooftop adventure, the highest roof walk in the UK, offers a completely new perspective on the Palace, with stunning panoramic views across London. Summit is an exciting and significant addition to our year-round destination, set to attract new visitors from further afield, while offering even more reasons to spend time at Alexandra Park and Palace. And of course, not only is Summit the highest, we're also the only palace you can actually walk over!"
'Summit' is designed with expert guides, a steady pace and all equipment included. Visitors can also book private climbs for celebrations, or group climbs for team outings, charity fundraisers or unforgettable surprises with friends.
'Summit' is the newest experience for all kinds of adventurers.
