Rix and Kay Donates IT Equipment to Support Creative Learning at Dv8 Sussex
Community Engagement

Rix & Kay has strengthened its community engagement by donating a wide range of IT equipment – including keyboards, monitors, and desktop monitor stands – to DV8 Sussex, a Brighton and Bexhill-based creative college.
Dv8 Sussex provides industry-led, practical education for young people aged 16 to 18, offering courses in some of the most dynamic and fast-evolving creative sectors. The college's project-based learning helps students build valuable real-world experience in a supportive and ambitious environment.
Caitlin Horne, Centre Manager at Dv8 Sussex, expressed her gratitude:
"Donations like this are vital to the ongoing success of Dv8. Our students will greatly benefit from the upgraded equipment, especially as they work on creative digital projects. We're incredibly thankful to Rix & Kay and to all our supporters and volunteers who make our work possible."
This donation is part of Rix & Kay's broader commitment to sustainability and community impact. In addition to supporting local organisations with usable IT resources, the firm ensures that all retired IT equipment is responsibly repurposed or recycled. Rix & Kay partners with Tech Recycle, a specialist in ethical and secure IT recycling, to manage this process at no cost.
The initiative aligns with Rix & Kay's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals, which form a key part of the firm's long-term strategy. As a member of the Legal Sustainability Alliance and the Environmental Business Network, Rix & Kay is committed to reducing environmental impact both within its operations and across the wider legal sector.
Sue South, Senior Administrator at Rix & Kay, commented:
"Managing our offices goes beyond internal efficiency – It's about acting responsibly. We look for every opportunity to reduce our environmental footprint, from recycling toner cartridges to using bamboo-sourced toilet paper. Even small steps matter. If it helps move us in the right direction, it's worth doing."
