Summer has arrived in Margate and we're welcoming it with drinks to celebrate our new commission for the Sunley Gallery windows on Friday 2 May. Elsewhere, it's your last chance to see Resistance: How protest shaped Britain and photography shaped protest, and to enter our Young Creatives competition.
Plenty is happening in and around the gallery as the town hits its stride for another exciting season.
A Bold New Look for Turner
As we celebrate 250 years since the birth of JMW Turner withoutr new display Breaking Waves, we're unveiling a fresh visual identity and website for the gallery.
Turner was a trailblazer— capturing light, movement and nature's raw power with daring innovation. Our new brand reflects that same spirit: dynamic, fluid, and ever-evolving.
Inspired by our coastal home and Turner's radical legacy, this new identity speaks to who we are now—and where we're headed.
This is just the beginning.
With special thanks to Graphic Thought Facility and One Darnley Road for bringing our vision to life.
