Kent Kart Rising Star - Jack Lead
Kart Race of Champions

On the weekend of 17th May Jack Lead a Kent based young Kart driver was given the opportunity to race for the first time in the Kart Race of Champions. this is an annual event that takes place at Buckmore Park and elite racers are invited from rental kart race leagues around the UK and in this case some drivers from Belgium to race each other and aim to be the champion of champions.
The reality was that with so many competitors not every kart could be equal in terms of performance, however Jack managed to win his eventual "D" final from 12th and came away with a trophy albeit not the one he would have liked. Jack also sporadically competes in Club 73 which is a racing club that tours around several UK circuits to race in a league in their rental karts. He has never won a race however because of his endeavours was recently promoted to Super Pro Class. This means he has to race with extra weight.
On June 11th he attended the mid week series of Club 73 at Bayford Meadows kart circuit. He demonstrated some considerable skill to keep win against the odds in hist first win since driving in Club 73.
Good work Jack Lead - A young Kart Driver to watch
